PUTRAJAYA, July 31 (Bernama) -- Twenty Malaysian youths will represent the country at the 2015 World Skills Competition (WSC) in Sao Paulo, Brazil from Aug 11 to 16, Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Richard Riot said.
He said Malaysia, which made an appearance for the 12th time since 1993 would participate in 19 of the 54 areas of expertise in the competition organised once every two years.
The areas include mechatronics, electronics, food, fashion technology, automobile technology and welding, he said in a statement today.
He said Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Abdul Muttalib would lead the national contingent accompanied by 70 delegates including the 20 participants, coaches and psychology officials of public and private agencies.
In the meantime, Riot said Malaysia was targeting at least one medal in this year's WSC based on their extensive preparations for the competition.
